When Comes What Darkly Thieves

Synopsis:

If only this story was about Lobster Man watching The Nutcracker, then getting deeply offended.  If that were the case it would be easy to describe.  But “When Comes What Darkly Thieves”, now that’s an entirely different pair of sleeves!
There’s Zinganas, the blind king of gypsies.  That’s the first thing.  He makes a mess wherever he wants, which is pretty much everywhere, but all that happens before we fill him with chickpeas.
There’s a child who grows wings to solve terrestrial problems.  That’s the second thing.
Then there’s ourselves.  Yes, we’re part of this story too, so long as we agree not to get all tangled up in our own myths and get tangled up in this somewhat perilous tale instead.  Then Zinganas will watch The Nutcracker without getting offended.  After all, he’s not a lobster.  Instead, the ballet sends him out into world.  From then on, it’s simply a question of when he bumps into his misfortune, which he is guided into by wondrous words.
His misfortunes make a mess of him.  He makes a mess of his misfortunes.  The child is in there somewhere doing childish things.  And we, well, we’re kept constantly on our toes.  Basically, it’s a real suspense lesson from beginning to end.  But you don’t have to take my word for it.  After all, they are merely the promises of an edible pumpkin.
Book Background
This book arose out of my terrestrial problems.  Not being able to grow wings, I write stories instead, and make images to accompany them.  Images that are filled with my dream animals, my totems, my talismen, which I catch each morning and then release into the world.
