Cameron's A to Z

Cameron’s A to Z is a children’s book authored by a 10 year old boy with a big heart. All royalties for this book are going to Habitat for Humanity. With this in mind, we’d like to invite you to join Anna anteater, Kaitlin kangaroo, and other alphabet animal friends in this whimsical, tongue-tangling, lesson on the alphabet.

Book Background:

After watching a very scary YouTube video Cameron decided he needed to do something to help. He initially thought of having a bake sale to raise money, but his school had just held one to raise money for Japan. Then he thought of having a yard sale, only to quickly realize he didn’t have anything to sell. Then, with the knowledge of self-publishing, he decided to write a children’s book. He asked his parents if it’d be ok, and, though they were initially skeptical, they agreed. Immediately he set off to writing, using Google and a crossword puzzle website to come up with words for each letter. Soon he created 26 sentences where each letter was represented in each word within the sentence. Cameron tried to create illustrations for each of the sentences, but wasn’t pleased with the way he was creating them and asked for help. He enlisted the help of children’s author and illustrator, G. R. Holton, who was happy to contribute. He also connected Cameron with his publisher, World Castle Publishing, who agreed to publish Cameron’s book and forward his royalties to the charity.
